This cylinder is an auxiliary actuator of the boom positioning system in underground bolting jumbos, mounted in the compensation mechanism between the main boom and the feed beam. After the boom has been roughly positioned, it provides fine forward/backward adjustment to precisely bring the feed beam and rock drill into contact with the rock face, or to provide stable axial support during drilling. A double-acting medium-stroke design (191 mm stroke) delivers up to 85 kN of thrust. Combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage dust-proof seals, and bidirectional cushioning, it provides stable, precise, leak-free linear motion under the severe conditions of underground high dust, intense vibration, and frequent compensation — a key component for ensuring anchor bolt drilling accuracy and equipment reliability.

Precision Linear Compensation
The barrel is forged from high-yield-ratio quenched and tempered alloy steel, with welds UT/MT inspected. The piston rod is precision hard-chrome plated (HV900–1100), maintaining high structural rigidity under frequent fine-tuning and vibration, ensuring accurate compensation without drift.
High Side-Load Resistance & Guidance
Embedded wide bronze or composite guide rings with precision clearance control absorb radial forces from boom offset loads and drilling recoil, preventing rod scoring.
Multi-Stage Seals & Dust Protection
A metal scraper ring and multiple heavy-duty wipers at the gland effectively block rock dust, cuttings, and underground moisture. The main seal is a hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane and filled PTFE composite, guaranteeing zero external leakage under high-pressure, high-frequency, and rock dust conditions.
Internal Cushioning for Noise Reduction
Progressive cushioning devices at both piston ends automatically decelerate and absorb impact energy at end strokes, eliminating rigid impacts and reducing noise.
