Segment Mold Cylinder
This segment mold cylinder is the core actuation element for the tread-forming system in tire curing presses. Arranged circumferentially or symmetrically around the mold, it hydraulically closes multiple segment blocks simultaneously to form a complete tread cavity. Throughout the curing cycle, it provides a powerful, sustained locking force to resist the high internal steam pressure that could otherwise force the mold open. After curing, the cylinders retract synchronously to open the segments, allowing the tire to be de-molded easily. A high-thrust, medium-stroke design delivering up to 798 kN, combined with low-friction seals, bidirectional cushioning, high-temperature protection, and a synchronization control interface, ensures precise, synchronized motion and reliable long-term locking under the high-temperature, high-humidity, high-cycle loads of the curing shop. It is a key guarantee for accurate tread formation and high production efficiency.
