This lower ring cylinder is the core actuator for the lower ring lifting and locking system in tire vulcanizing presses. Mounted around the base of the lower mold, it hydraulically raises and locks the lower ring (lower steam chamber or shield) into position. During the curing cycle, the cylinder must withstand the thrust and radiant heat of high-pressure, high-temperature steam, while maintaining a reliable seal between the lower ring and upper ring to prevent leaks. A compact double-acting design with a maximum thrust of 384 kN integrates a bidirectional cushioning system, high-temperature seals, and dust protection, delivering precise, smooth, leak-free lifting and locking performance over years of service in high-cycle, high-temperature, and high-humidity curing shops.
PAZON
Bore diameter: Φ50 mm – Φ140 mm
Rod diameter: Φ28 mm – Φ100 mm
Stroke: ≤2,000 mm (per press size and lower ring travel)
Operating pressure: continuous 21 MPa, max 25 MPa
Max push force: 384 kN (at 25 MPa, Φ140 mm bore)
Max pull force: approx. 188 kN (at 25 MPa, Φ140 mm bore with Φ100 mm rod)
Breakaway pressure: ≤0.2 MPa (low-friction seal)
Piston velocity: 0.03 – 0.2 m/s (smooth lifting/lowering)
Operating frequency: intermittent, 1–2 cycles per cure cycle
Internal leakage: ≤0.02 ml/min (at 21 MPa, over seal service life)
Temperature range: -25 ℃ to +150 ℃ (withstands mold radiant heat and steam temperature)
Suitable for: mechanical and hydraulic tire curing presses
Built-In Bidirectional Cushioning
Progressive cushioning structures at both ends automatically decelerate the piston at the stroke limits, absorbing impacts to prevent rigid contact between the lower ring and the mold, reducing noise and extending the service life of both the mold and the cylinder itself.
Compact Construction
The barrel outer diameter and installed length are optimized to the minimum while providing ample thrust, allowing easy installation in the tight spaces around the press base.
High-Temperature Sealing & Protection
A specially formulated polyurethane or FKM composite seal package withstands the sustained high temperatures of the curing press. Multiple wipers at the gland front keep rubber residue and dust from entering the cylinder.
Side-Load Resistance & Long-Life Guidance
A wide bronze composite guide ring embedded in the bore, combined with precision clearance design, effectively resists lateral forces from uneven lower ring loading, preventing piston rod scoring and ensuring long-term smooth operation.
Flexible Mounting & Maintenance-Free
Mounting dimensions, port orientations, and flange connection sizes are fully customized to the press manufacturer’s lower mold structure. Self-lubricating bushings in both pivot points eliminate daily greasing, drastically reducing maintenance costs.
Special seals (high-temperature >150 ℃, acid/alkali resistant)
Built-in displacement sensor for closed-loop lower ring position control
Full stainless steel body and piston rod (highly corrosive environments)
Explosion-proof certification
