Clamp Cylinder
This clamp cylinder is the direct gripping actuator of the rail clamp system in heavy railway maintenance machines such as tamping and track lifting-and-lining vehicles, mounted in pairs between the clamp arm and the jaw. During lifting, lining, or rail replacement, it hydraulically extends or retracts its piston rod with a short, powerful stroke, quickly closing the jaws to firmly grip the rail head or web, providing a secure mechanical hold for track raising, lateral shifting, or fixing. A short-stroke double-acting design (112 mm stroke) delivers 22 kN of thrust and 13 kN of pull at 18 MPa. Combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage dust-proof seals, and bidirectional cushioning, it provides long-term, precise, stick-slip-free, leak-free clamping drive under the severe conditions of high vibration, heavy impact, dust, and all-weather outdoor operation — a key component for ensuring a firm grip and operational safety.
