Swing Cylinder
This swing cylinder is the core actuator of the swing mechanism on roadheaders, mounted between the cutting boom or apron and the main frame. During roadway excavation, it hydraulically swings the cutting boom left and right to achieve full-face cutting coverage, or swings the apron to expand the loading range. Covering bores from 50 mm to 200 mm, strokes up to 3,000 mm, and thrust up to 628 kN at 20 MPa, it meets the swing drive requirements of everything from light coal-roadway machines to heavy hard-rock roadheaders. With a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage seals, and bidirectional cushioning, it delivers smooth, precise, and leak-free swing motion under the severe conditions of dust, vibration, and frequent cycling — a key component for ensuring roadway profile quality and excavation efficiency.
