Electric Furnace Series

  • Plunger Cylinder
This plunger cylinder is a single-acting, long-stroke, high-thrust lifting actuator used in metallurgical electric furnaces such as electric arc furnaces and ladle refining furnaces. It is primarily applied to electrode lifting, furnace cover jacking, or taphole trough raising. Operating on a single-acting plunger principle, it extends under hydraulic pressure to deliver powerful thrust, while retraction relies on the self-weight of the electrode or cover. An oversized plunger (Φ180 mm) and ultra-long stroke (1,430 mm) design, combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision-ground and hard-chrome plated plunger surface, high-temperature-resistant seals, and built-in cushioning, ensures long-term stable and reliable lifting force under the harsh conditions of high-temperature radiation, dust, periodic heavy loads, and frequent cycling in the furnace shop — a key component for efficient melting and safe production.
  • Furnace Lifting Cylinder
This furnace lifting cylinder is an actuator used for raising and lowering furnace covers, electrode arms, taphole troughs, or auxiliary devices in metallurgical electric furnaces such as electric arc furnaces and ladle refining furnaces. It performs precise lifting motions with medium stroke through hydraulic control, enabling furnace cover opening/closing, trough height adjustment, and other functions. Specially designed for high-temperature radiation, dust, and periodic heavy loads, the cylinder features high-strength quenched-and-tempered alloy steel, high-temperature-resistant sealing systems, and built-in cushioning, ensuring long-term stable, leak-free operation in the harsh environment of the furnace shop — a key component for efficient melting and safe production.
  • Furnace Cover Lifting Cylinder
This furnace cover lifting cylinder is the core vertical-lift element of the roof system in electric arc furnaces (EAF). Typically mounted in pairs between the roof lifting arm and the fixed frame, it hydraulically and synchronously raises the furnace roof a short distance, safely separating the roof seal ring from the furnace shell upper rim, thereby preparing the roof for subsequent rotation (swing open) for charging or maintenance. After charging is complete, the cylinder retracts to gently lower the roof back onto the shell, restoring the sealed melting position. Exposed to intense radiant heat near the furnace roof, the cylinder is equipped with an external water-cooling jacket and internally fitted with high-temperature- and aging-resistant seals. Integrated displacement sensors enable multi-cylinder synchronized closed-loop control. Even under continuous high temperatures, dust, and electromagnetic interference, it maintains smooth, synchronous, precise lifting motions, ensuring smooth and safe charging operations.
  • Lock Cylinder
This lock cylinder is a dedicated safety locking element used in multiple subsystems of electric arc furnaces (EAF). It may be installed on the roof ring, electrode arm, tilting platform, or busbar connection points. Hydraulically actuated, it drives a locking pin, wedge, or hook into a corresponding slot or hole to achieve mechanical locking of the furnace roof to the shell, rigid fixing of the electrode position, or anti-rotation protection of the tilting mechanism. Though compact, it fulfills the critical duty of preventing unintended movement, safeguarding personnel and equipment alike. Equipped with a water-cooling jacket, high-temperature-resistant seals, and a built-in displacement sensor, it continuously delivers reliable, leak-free locking force and provides precise real-time lock/unlock status feedback even under the intense radiant heat, dust, and electromagnetic interference around the furnace top.
  • Tipping Cylinder
This tipping cylinder is the core actuator of the tapping and slag-off system in electric arc furnaces (EAF). Mounted in pairs between the furnace saddle and the tilting platform, it hydraulically pushes or pulls the entire furnace shell to tilt smoothly around a horizontal axis — tilting forward for tapping, backward for slagging, and performing fine attitude adjustments during melting. Positioned close to the hot furnace shell with intense radiant heat and slag splash, the cylinder is equipped with an external water-cooling jacket and internally fitted with high-temperature- and aging-resistant V-pack seals. An integrated magnetostrictive displacement sensor provides closed-loop position control. Even under continuous high heat, dust, and impact loads, it delivers stable, precise furnace tilting, ensuring tapping safety and operational flexibility.
  • Furnace Cover Rotating Cylinder
This furnace cover rotating cylinder is the core actuator of the roof swivel system in electric arc furnaces (EAF). Mounted on the roof rotating mechanism, it hydraulically drives the furnace roof to swivel open or closed around its vertical axis, enabling rapid switching between charging, maintenance, and tapping operations. Exposed to intense radiant heat and dust above the furnace mouth, the cylinder is equipped with an external water-cooling jacket and internally fitted with high-temperature- and aging-resistant seals. Integrated with a displacement sensor for precise position control, it maintains smooth, shock-free rotation even under continuous extreme conditions, ensuring efficient and safe furnace charging and tapping.
  • Lifting Cylinder
This lifting cylinder is designed for auxiliary mechanisms on electric arc furnaces (EAF), typically used to raise and lower the slag door, tapping door, or sampling door. In some installations it also assists in the fine-lifting adjustment of the electrode arm/column. Its double-acting compact design offers ample push and pull force, while an external water-cooling jacket protects it from intense radiant heat near the furnace body. Internally integrated high-temperature- and fluid-compatible seals, together with a built-in magnetostrictive displacement sensor, enable precise door positioning for automated EAF operation. Even in continuous high-temperature, dusty, and electromagnetically harsh environments, it operates stably and leak-free over a long service life.
  • Mast Cylinder
This mast cylinder series is purpose-designed for the electrode regulation system of electric arc furnaces, ladle refining furnaces and similar metallurgical equipment. Acting as the prime mover of the electrode mast, it hydraulically lifts and lowers the electrodes to achieve precise arc length control and melting power regulation. A double-acting piston design with a maximum thrust of 581 kN, it is fortified for high-temperature radiation, heavy dust, and strong electromagnetic interference — incorporating a water-cooling jacket, high-temperature V-pack seals, a built-in magnetostrictive displacement sensor, and end-stroke cushioning. Even under sustained front-of-furnace heat and frequent cycling, it delivers accurate, reliable, and low-leakage performance, making it a key actuator for efficient steelmaking in modern electric furnaces.
