This track lifting cylinder is the core actuator of the lifting system in heavy railway maintenance machines such as tamping and track lifting-and-lining vehicles, mounted in pairs between the vehicle frame and the lifting clamp assembly. During lifting, it hydraulically extends its piston rod powerfully, raising the clamps together with the rail and sleepers to a precise height for tamping or shimming, restoring the track to its design elevation. A medium-stroke double-acting design (435 mm stroke) delivers 220 kN of thrust and 185 kN of pull at 18 MPa, easily overcoming the weight of the track panel and ballast resistance. Combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage combination seals, and bidirectional cushioning, it provides long-term, high-precision, stick-slip-free, leak-free lifting drive under the severe conditions of high vibration, heavy impact, dust, and all-weather outdoor operation — a key component for ensuring track longitudinal smoothness and running safety.

Powerful Lifting Force
The barrel is forged from high-yield-ratio quenched and tempered alloy steel, with critical welds UT/MT inspected. The large-diameter piston rod (Φ50 mm) is precision hard-chrome plated (HV900–1100), maintaining extremely high rigidity under the track panel weight and ballast resistance for smooth elevation to the design height.
High Side-Load Resistance & Guidance
Wide-profile bronze or composite guide rings embedded in the bore, with precision clearance control, effectively absorb radial forces from uneven clamp loading and track panel offset, preventing rod scoring and ensuring long-term smooth operation.
Multi-Stage Seals & Dust Protection
A metal scraper ring and multiple heavy-duty wipers at the gland effectively block ballast dust, stone chips, and rainwater. The main seal is a hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane and filled-PTFE composite, guaranteeing zero external leakage over the entire service life in all-weather outdoor operation.
Internal Cushioning for Noise Reduction
Progressive cushions at both ends automatically decelerate and absorb energy at the stroke limits, eliminating rigid impacts, reducing noise, and protecting the clamp mechanism and the cylinder.
Compact Construction & Maintenance-Free
Mounting dimensions are optimized for the compact space between the vehicle frame and clamp assembly. Self-lubricating composite bushings in the clevises eliminate daily greasing and provide long service life under high-frequency lifting operation.
Optional Position Monitoring
A built-in displacement sensor can be integrated to provide real-time lifting height feedback, enabling precise closed-loop control of rail surface elevation via the main control system.
