This ballast plate rotation cylinder is the angle-adjustment actuator for the ballast gathering system of railway ballast regulating machines, mounted between the plate rotation pivot and a fixed bracket. During profiling, it hydraulically extends or retracts to rotate the ballast plate through a defined angle, changing the ballast flow direction and accumulation position to achieve precise profiling of different track bed sections. A short-stroke double-acting design (195 mm stroke) delivers 56 kN of thrust and 37 kN of pull at 18 MPa. Combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage dust-proof seals, and bidirectional cushioning, it provides stable, stick-slip-free, leak-free rotational drive under heavy vibration, flying ballast, and all-weather outdoor operation.
PAZON
Bore: Φ63 mm
Rod: Φ36 mm
Stroke: 195 mm (corresponding to the arc displacement of the plate rotation angle)
Operating pressure: continuous 16 MPa, max 18 MPa
Max push force: 56 kN (at 18 MPa, full-bore side)
Max pull force: 37 kN (at 18 MPa, annular side)
Breakaway pressure: ≤0.3 MPa (low-friction seals, sensitive response)
Piston velocity: <0.5 m/s
Operating frequency: intermittent, several angle adjustments per profiling operation
Internal leakage: ≤0.025 ml/min (at 16 MPa, over seal service life)
Temperature range: -20 ℃ to +80 ℃ (standard); -40 ℃ to +120 ℃ customizable
Suitable for: railway ballast regulating machines, ballast sweeping machines, etc.
Precise Angle Adjustment
The barrel is high-yield-ratio quenched and tempered alloy steel; the piston rod is precision hard-chrome plated (HV900–1100), maintaining stability under ballast resistance and eccentric impact to ensure accurate, drift-free plate rotation angle.
High Side-Load Resistance & Guidance
Wide-profile bronze or composite guide rings in the bore effectively absorb radial forces when the plate is unevenly loaded, preventing rod scoring.
Multi-Stage Seals & Dust Protection
A metal scraper ring and multiple heavy-duty wipers at the gland effectively block ballast dust, stone chips, and rainwater. The main seal is a hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane/filled-PTFE composite for zero leakage in all-weather outdoor service.
Internal Cushioning for Noise Reduction
Progressive cushions at both ends decelerate the cylinder at end positions, eliminating impact noise and protecting the rotation mechanism and cylinder.
Compact & Maintenance-Free
Mounting dimensions are optimized for the compact plate rotation mechanism. Self-lubricating composite bushings in the clevises eliminate daily greasing and provide long service life under high-frequency operation.
Optional Position Monitoring
A built-in displacement sensor can provide real-time plate rotation angle feedback for automatic ballast section control via the main system.
