This steering cylinder series is purpose-built for the chassis steering system of large mining dump trucks. Serving as the core actuator linking the steering linkage and knuckles, it hydraulically assists wheel deflection, providing precise and smooth steering response under full load, on rough mine roads, and during frequent maneuvering. The cylinder ensures handling stability and even tire wear. Enhanced for open-pit mine conditions — rock impacts, mud, dust, and continuous long-distance operation — it delivers exceptional fatigue durability and maintenance-free capability.

Heavy-Duty Impact-Resistant Construction
The barrel is fabricated from high yield-ratio quenched & tempered alloy steel, with critical welds UT/MT inspected and stress-relieved. The piston rod is precision hard chrome plated (HV900–1100) and of large diameter, absorbing severe wheel impacts and side loads. Fatigue life exceeds 1.2 million alternating steering cycles, eliminating bending and weld cracking.
Ultra-Low Breakaway, Effortless Steering
A filled PTFE and hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane seal package, combined with wide, one-piece composite guide rings, ensures breakaway pressure under 0.3 MPa. Even at engine idle, steering remains light, responsive, and free of stick-slip or judder, significantly reducing operator fatigue.
Built-in Displacement Sensing & Intelligent Monitoring
An optional integrated magnetostrictive linear displacement sensor provides real-time piston position feedback with ±0.2 mm accuracy. Linked to the on-board control system, it enables closed-loop steering angle monitoring, automatic centering, and deviation warning — enhancing driving safety.
Superior Dust Protection & Sealing
Multiple wipers and a metallic scraper ring at the gland front effectively block mine slurry, rock dust, and coal fines. The main seal is a heavy-duty polyurethane U‑cup with anti-extrusion lips, ensuring zero leakage under high pressure and low-frequency, large-angle steering.
High Side-Load Capacity, Long-Life Guiding
A wide, high-load composite guide ring with large contact area and excellent wear resistance balances the offset loads from wheel reaction forces, preventing rod scoring and premature seal failure.
Comprehensive Anti-Corrosion Protection
External surfaces are coated with mud- and salt-spray-resistant epoxy. All fasteners are stainless steel. The piston rod is available with hard chrome, Ni/Cr alloy plating, or laser cladding to resist acidic/alkaline dust and moisture in mines over the long term.
Maintenance-Free Pivots & Flexible Mounting
Self-lubricating composite bushings are standard in both clevises, eliminating daily greasing and lasting beyond the major overhaul cycle. Mounting dimensions, port orientations, and pin sizes are fully customized to the OEM’s steering axle design.
