This telescopic cylinder series is the core actuator for the telescopic boom system of truck cranes and all-terrain cranes. It directly drives the sequential extension and retraction of the main or auxiliary boom sections, determining the crane’s maximum lifting height and working radius. Designed for ultra-high pressure (rated 35 MPa, max 42 MPa) and available in single-stage to multi-stage (double, triple, or even quadruple) configurations with ultra-long strokes (up to 23 meters), the cylinder integrates a high-strength lightweight structure, precision sealing and guiding systems, multiple safety valve packages, and smart sensing interfaces. It delivers smooth, efficient, zero-drift boom motion and exceptional service life under heavy lifting, frequent telescoping, and harsh outdoor environments.

Ultra-Long Stroke Multi-Stage Design
Configurations from double to quadruple telescopic cylinders achieve total strokes exceeding 23 meters, meeting the long boom requirements of large-tonnage cranes. Each stage barrel is fabricated from high-strength alloy steel (thick-wall tube or forging), precision straightened and hard-chrome plated to ensure excellent bending stiffness and straightness at full extension, eliminating binding or sagging.
Lightweight Rigid Construction
Finite element topology optimization and high yield-ratio quenched & tempered steel are employed to reduce barrel wall thickness and rod mass while maintaining ultra-high-pressure thrust output, reducing boom system weight to boost lifting capacity and fuel economy.
Ultra-Low Breakaway, Stepless Motion
The main seal uses a filled PTFE and polyurethane composite, together with specially friction-optimized guide rings, achieving breakaway pressure as low as 0.25 MPa. Boom extension and retraction remain smooth and stick-slip free even at minimal control flow, facilitating precise load positioning and minimizing load swing.
Safe Zero-Drift Lockout
Counterbalance valves, hydraulic locks, or load-holding valves can be integrated, coupled with a low-leakage sealing system (≤0.02 ml/min), to ensure virtually no drift during prolonged suspension — piston movement under 2 mm over 24 hours. The boom remains safely in position even in the event of a hose burst.
Full Anti-Corrosion & Rust-Proof Guide
Guide bushings are treated with QPQ nitriding or electroless nickel-phosphorus plating, with stainless steel retainer rings and labyrinth wipers, completely blocking rain, mud, and de-icing salt penetration. Rod surface finishes include hard chrome, Ni/Cr alloy plating, laser cladding, ceramic spray, and QPQ to withstand severe coastal and mining environment corrosion.
Integrated Smart Sensing & Valve Package
A built-in magnetostrictive linear displacement sensor can provide real-time boom extension length feedback with ±1 mm accuracy, enabling automatic limit stops, telescopic synchronization, and remote monitoring. Relief valves, sequence valves, and diagnostic test couplings can also be integrated to simplify the hydraulic system.
All-Terrain Crane Reinforcement
For all-terrain chassis, an integrated cylinder head block and guide rail assembly mounts the telescopic cylinder within the boom guide system, absorbing intense shock and side loads from off-road travel, protecting the piston rod, and reducing OEM assembly complexity.
Maintenance-Free Pivots & Flexible Mounting
Standard self-lubricating composite bushings in rod-end and base-end forgings eliminate daily greasing while providing long wear life. Spherical bearings are optional to accommodate large misalignment and side loads. Mounting dimensions, port orientations, and pin sizes are fully customizable to OEM specifications.
