This tripper luffing cylinder series is designed for the tail car (tripper) luffing mechanism of large stacker reclaimers. Mounted between the tripper boom and the traveling gantry, it hydraulically raises and lowers the tripper to switch between stacking and reclaiming modes — tilting up to discharge material onto the boom belt during stacking, and lowering to allow material from the pile to flow onto the ground conveyor during reclaiming. With a heavy-duty high-thrust design, medium-to-long stroke, specially anti-corrosion guide bushing system, and integrated safety lock, it reliably withstands outdoor rain, snow, coal dust, and ore fines, providing stable luffing support for stacker reclaimers in bulk ports, power plants, and steel mills.

Heavy-Duty High-Rigidity Structure
The barrel and piston rod are manufactured from high yield-ratio quenched & tempered alloy steel with FEA-optimized stress distribution. Thick-wall design and extended guide bushing withstand the impact and side loads during stacking/reclaiming mode switching, ensuring no deformation or weld cracking.
Integrated Counterbalance Valve, Safe Locking
A standard high-flow counterbalance valve or dual pilot-operated check valve locks the tripper precisely at any luffing angle. Even if the hydraulic system loses pressure, the tripper remains safely suspended, preventing equipment collision or belt misalignment from gravity-induced drift.
Low Friction, Precision Positioning
Filled PTFE and polyurethane composite seals keep breakaway pressure as low as 0.4 MPa. The cylinder moves smoothly with no stick-slip, allowing the operator to precisely adjust the tripper angle from the control room for rapid mode switching.
Special Anti-Corrosion Guide Bushing
The guide bushing is treated with QPQ salt bath nitriding or electroless nickel-phosphorus plating, paired with stainless steel retainer rings and high-performance wipers, thoroughly blocking rain, snow, coal dust, and ore fines from penetrating down the rod — eliminating rust seizure.
Comprehensive Surface Protection
The piston rod is available with hard chrome, Ni/Cr alloy plating, laser cladding, or ceramic thermal spray. The cylinder exterior is coated with weather-resistant epoxy, providing long-term protection against port weather, acidic/alkaline coal dust, and intense UV exposure.
Flexible Mounting & Maintenance-Free
Mounting dimensions and port orientations are customizable to the OEM gantry structure. Self-lubricating composite bushings in the clevises eliminate daily greasing and provide long service life in dusty, high-humidity environments.
