Stainless Steel Hardened & Tempered Rods are heat-treated to 28–40 HRC for enhanced strength and wear resistance, while maintaining intrinsic corrosion protection. Available in diameters φ6–200 mm, up to 6000 mm long, with ISO f7/h7 tolerance and Ra≤0.2 μm ground finish. Suitable for high-load hydraulic, food, marine and medical applications, they can be supplied in martensitic and PH grades. Full customization of dimensions, tolerances, material and heat treatment is supported.

PAZON
Stainless Steel Hardened & Tempered Rods are manufactured from heat-treatable stainless steel grades (such as martensitic and precipitation-hardening types), processed by quenching and tempering (hardened & tempered) followed by precision grinding. The heat treatment imparts significantly higher strength, hardness and wear resistance compared to standard stainless steel bars, while retaining the inherent corrosion resistance of the material. Without any surface coating, these rods rely on their own material properties and are widely used in high-load, wear-resistant and corrosion-protected applications such as hydraulic piston rods, food machinery shafts, chemical pump shafts, marine components, and high-end medical devices.
Diameter: Mainly φ6–200 mm, larger custom sizes accepted
Length: ≤6000 mm, custom lengths available
Straightness: ≤0.2 mm/M
Tolerance Grades: IT6–IT9
OD Tolerance: According to ISO f7/f8/g6/h7/h8/h9; customized tolerances available upon request
Ovality: Half of the tolerance value ISO f7
Heat Treatment: Quenched & Tempered (Hardened & Tempered); optimal process selected based on material grade
Core Hardness: Typically 28–40 HRC after Q&T (higher hardness achievable with certain precipitation-hardening grades)
Surface Treatment: No plating, bare ground finish; passivation available upon request
Surface Roughness: Ra≤0.2 μm, Rt≤2 μm
Packing: Anti-rust oil + cardboard tube/plastic sleeve + wooden case
Enhanced Mechanical Properties: Quenching and tempering greatly improves hardness and strength, suitable for heavy-duty and wear applications
Maintained Corrosion Resistance: The stainless steel substrate provides reliable rust protection without the risk of coating delamination
High Precision Ground Finish: Tight dimensional tolerances and ultra-low surface roughness meet demands of precision hydraulic seals and bearings
Wear & Extended Service Life: Higher core hardness enhances scratch and indentation resistance, prolonging rod service life
Wide Material Choice: Select from martensitic (410/420), precipitation-hardening (17-4PH) and other heat-treatable stainless grades to balance strength and corrosion resistance
Hygienic & Clean: Smooth surface easy to clean, ideal for food, medical and other sanitary environments
In addition to standard specifications, we offer:
Custom diameters and lengths, including large and extra-long sizes
Tolerance grades and non-standard OD tolerances
Higher straightness upon request
Stainless steel grade selection and customized heat treatment (hardness range optimization)
Surface treatment: passivation for enhanced corrosion protection
End machining: chamfering, threading, stepping, etc.
Special packaging and identification
