This ballast plate lift cylinder is the vertical lifting actuator for the ballast gathering system of railway ballast regulating machines, mounted in the lift mechanism between the plate arm and the frame. During operation, it lowers the ballast plate to the track bed surface for gathering and leveling; during transit or obstacle avoidance, it raises the plate above the loading gauge. A medium-stroke double-acting design (340 mm stroke) delivers 35 kN of thrust and 24 kN of pull at 18 MPa. Combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage dust-proof seals, and bidirectional cushioning, it provides stable, reliable, leak-free lifting motion under heavy vibration, flying ballast, and all-weather outdoor operation.

Suitable for: railway ballast regulating machines, ballast sweeping machines, etc.
Smooth Lifting & Precise Positioning
The barrel is high-yield-ratio quenched and tempered alloy steel; the piston rod is precision hard-chrome plated (HV900–1100), providing stable lifting under the weight of the plate and ballast reaction forces, ensuring the plate accurately reaches its working depth or safe stowed height.
High Side-Load Resistance & Guidance
Wide-profile bronze or composite guide rings in the bore effectively absorb radial forces from uneven plate loading, preventing rod scoring.
Multi-Stage Seals & Dust Protection
A metal scraper ring and multiple heavy-duty wipers at the gland effectively block ballast dust, stone chips, and rainwater. The main seal is a hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane/filled-PTFE composite for zero leakage in all-weather outdoor service.
Internal Cushioning for Noise Reduction
Progressive cushions at both ends decelerate the cylinder at end positions, eliminating impact noise and protecting the lift mechanism and cylinder.
Compact & Maintenance-Free
Mounting dimensions are optimized for the compact lift mechanism. Self-lubricating composite bushings in the clevises eliminate daily greasing and provide long service life under high-frequency lifting.
Optional Position Monitoring
A built-in displacement sensor can provide real-time plate height feedback for automatic ballast section control via the main system.
