Cylinder Barrel Blanks are pre-machined seamless tubes with the bore already honed or skived & roller burnished. Cut to exact length and ready for final machining, they eliminate in-house bore finishing and shorten production cycles. Available in carbon, alloy, and stainless steel, with various heat treatments. ID up to 3000 mm, straightness ≤0.3 mm/m, bore roughness Ra ≤0.2 μm. Standard tolerances H7/H8. Ideal for streamlining hydraulic cylinder manufacturing. Custom dimensions, end preparations, and packaging offered.

PAZON
Our Cylinder Barrel Blanks are ready-to-finish seamless tubes designed to streamline hydraulic cylinder production. Each blank is cut to your specified length and its inner bore is already precision-machined — by honing or skiving and roller burnishing — to achieve tight tolerances, excellent roundness, and a fine surface finish. With critical bore preparation completed, you can move directly to final operations such as end welding, port machining, and external coating, significantly reducing in-house processing time and cost.
Inner Diameter: up to 3000 mm
Length: ≤ 16000 mm (cut to exact customer specification)
Straightness: ≤ 0.3 mm/m (honed) / ≤ 0.2 mm/m (SRB)
Material:
- Carbon Steel: 20# / CK45 / ST52(E355) / 25Mn / E235 / E470
- Alloy Steel: 27SiMn / 42CrMo (AISI 4140) / AISI 4130 / 40Cr / E460 / 20Cr
- Stainless Steel: ASTM 316L / 304
Bore Machining Options:
- Honed: Ra ≤ 0.2 μm, standard tolerance H7/H8 (IT6–IT8)
- Skived & Roller Burnished (SRB): Ra 0.1–0.2 μm, standard tolerance H7/H8/H9 (IT7–IT9)
Heat Treatment (Base Tube):
- Stress Relieved: +SR / BKS
- Annealed: +A / GBK
- Normalized: +N / NBK
- Quenched and Tempered: Q+T
End Preparation: Square cut, chamfered, or weld-prep bevel as ordered
Wall Thickness Tolerance: ±7.5% (±10% for wall thickness > 210 mm)
Surface Protection: Temporary anti-rust oil applied to bore and exterior
Packing: Plastic caps on both ends + wooden case / bundle with steel strip / bundle with knitting strip
Ready for Final Machining: Bore is already finished to near-final specifications, eliminating in-house honing or burnishing and freeing up internal capacity.
Faster Production Cycles: By starting with a pre-qualified blank, cylinder assembly lead times are sharply reduced.
Guaranteed Bore Consistency: Every blank is 100% inspected for ID, roundness, straightness, and surface finish, ensuring uniform seal performance in finished cylinders.
Flexible Bore Process: Choose between honed (for ultimate smoothness) or SRB (for surface hardening and efficiency) to match your sealing system and budget.
Material and Heat Treatment Choice: Base tube can be ordered in carbon, alloy, or stainless steel, in stress-relieved, annealed, normalized, or quenched & tempered condition.
Simplified Logistics: Delivered cut to exact length with temporary corrosion protection, ready for immediate machining upon arrival.
