This main cylinder is the core drive element of industrial press-forming equipment such as powder compacting presses, tablet presses, or composite material presses. Mounted between the frame and the moving platen or slider, it extends and retracts with powerful hydraulic thrust to perform long-distance, high-tonnage pressing and return strokes, completing critical processes like powder compaction, hot pressing, or mold clamping. A long-stroke, high-thrust design (180 mm bore, 1,450 mm stroke, 509 kN push force), combined with a high-strength alloy steel barrel, a precision hard-chrome plated piston rod, multi-stage seals, and bidirectional cushioning, ensures stable, leak-free high-pressure operation under dusty, high-temperature, and heavy cyclic shock conditions — a key component for product forming quality and press production rates.

Heavy-Duty Long-Stroke Design
Both barrel and piston rod are made from high-yield-ratio quenched-and-tempered alloy steel; welds are UT/MT inspected and FEA-optimized. Even at full extension the cylinder maintains exceptional bending stiffness and side-load capacity, accommodating mold eccentricities and uneven powder fill.
Low Friction & Precise Pressing
Filled-PTFE and hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane composite seals provide low breakaway pressure, enabling precise pressure control for uniform compact density when combined with a high-accuracy pressure-control system.
Safe Holding & Anti-Drop
An integrated hydraulic lock or counterbalance valve instantly locks the moving platen in the event of a hose burst or power loss, preventing mold damage and personal injury.
Multi-Stage Dust & Corrosion Protection
A metal scraper ring and multiple heavy-duty wipers at the gland block powder and workshop dust. The cylinder exterior is coated with anti-corrosion paint; the piston rod can be upgraded with laser cladding or ceramic spray for extended service life.
Cushioning for Noise Reduction
Progressive cushions at both ends decelerate the platen at the stroke limits, eliminating rigid impacts and significantly reducing noise, protecting both the mold and the press.
Maintenance-Free & Intelligent Monitoring
Self-lubricating composite bushings in the clevises eliminate greasing. Built-in displacement and pressure sensors can be optionally integrated to provide real-time platen position and pressing force feedback for closed-loop control.
