Ultra-High Energy Conversion Efficiency
Proprietary low-friction filled PTFE seals and precision guide rings achieve breakaway pressure below 0.15 MPa. Minimal friction losses allow the cylinder to move even under faint wave fluctuations, greatly expanding the power generation window at low sea states and boosting overall efficiency.
Exceptional Fatigue Life under High-Frequency Alternating Loads
The piston rod, barrel, and welds are designed to offshore fatigue standards, with FEA-optimized transition radii and clevis roots. The fatigue life exceeds 5 million full alternating cycles, enabling the cylinder to withstand years of continuous wave pounding without replacement.
Outstanding Seawater Corrosion Resistance
The piston rod is clad with a laser-fused nickel- or cobalt-based corrosion-resistant alloy, offering 3–5 times better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance than standard hard chrome in splash and immersion zones. The cylinder exterior is coated with a heavy-duty marine epoxy, and all exposed fasteners are duplex stainless steel, eliminating rust.
Long-Life Zero-Leakage Sealing
A multi-stage seal package comprising a hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane U-cup, a seawater-specific anti-fouling ring, and redundant O-rings, combined with the super-finished rod surface (Ra≤0.05 μm), keeps internal leakage below 0.02 ml/min throughout the service life, preventing any hydraulic fluid contamination of the marine environment.
Intelligent Condition Monitoring
An embedded magnetostrictive displacement sensor (±0.1 mm accuracy) and pressure transducers can be integrated to provide real-time stroke and pressure data for power optimization and diagnostic purposes. Sensor interfaces comply with marine corrosion standards and allow maintenance without cylinder disassembly.
Flexible Mounting & Maintenance-Free
Clevis ends are equipped with self-lubricating composite bushings or seawater-resistant spherical bearings that require no grease, maintaining smooth articulation in splash, immersion, and biofouling conditions. Mounting dimensions and port orientations are fully customizable to the device layout.
