Hydraulic Cylinder

  • Outrigger Cylinder
The outrigger cylinder is the vertical load-bearing core of the truck crane chassis outrigger system. During lifting operations, it extends under hydraulic power to elevate and stabilize the entire machine, reliably transferring vehicle weight and hoisting loads to the ground. It forms a rigid support that prevents tipping and sinking under varied ground conditions and within the full rated lifting range. Designed for ultra-high pressure (rated 35 MPa, max 42 MPa) with large-diameter piston rods and thick-walled barrels, it can be configured in multi-stage telescopic versions for extended stroke. Integrated safety valve packages and corrosion-proof guide systems ensure safe lockout, smooth lifting, and long service life under heavy reaction forces of several to tens of tons, and in harsh environments such as mud, winter road salts, and coastal salt spray.
  • Main Operating Cylinder
This main operating cylinder series is the primary actuator for the ramp and heavy-duty gangway systems of roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ships. Typically mounted in pairs at the stern or side of the vessel, they are responsible for smoothly lowering the massive ramp — often tens of meters long and weighing tens of tonnes — to the dock, and then securely retracting and housing it after loading and unloading operations. With a heavy-duty design offering up to 3,500 kN of thrust and an ultra-long stroke up to 7,300 mm in a multi-stage telescopic configuration, the cylinders integrate a counterbalance valve and end-of-stroke cushioning. This ensures exceptionally smooth deployment and stable static holding under challenging conditions such as frequent port cycling, tidal variations, and surging swells. As the vital core equipment for Ro-Ro vessels, this cylinder fully complies with SOLAS and major classification society regulations, supporting real-time position monitoring and remote safety interlock.
  • Latch Cylinder (Mechanical Self-Locking)
This latch cylinder series (mechanical self-locking type) is the passive safety locking element for the ramp and gangway systems of roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ships, mounted in pairs on the hull locking base. Unlike the hydraulic self-locking type, once this cylinder drives the high-strength stainless steel latch pin into the locking hole, an internal mechanical locking mechanism (such as a spring-loaded wedge or cam lock) retains the pin in the engaged position. Thereafter, even if the hydraulic system is completely depressurized, lines rupture, or pressure is lost, the pin will not disengage. Unlocking requires reverse hydraulic pressure to release the mechanical lock before retracting the pin. Arranged in “front locking” and “rear locking” groups for redundant protection, and featuring a standardized bore series (60/80 mm), stainless steel piston rods, and a compact seawater-corrosion-resistant structure, this series has obtained DNVGL type approval. It is the preferred solution for next-generation Ro-Ro ship safety locking, particularly suitable for Ro-Pax vessels and deep-sea route ships with the highest fail-safe requirements against pressure loss.
  • Latch Cylinder (Hydraulic Self-Locking)
This latch cylinder series (hydraulic self-locking type) is the safety locking element for the ramp and gangway systems of roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ships. Installed in pairs on the hull locking base, it drives a high-strength stainless steel latch pin into the locking hole once the ramp is retracted to its navigation position. The pin is held in engagement by continuous hydraulic pressure, ensuring that the ramp remains absolutely locked during navigation, heavy seas, and emergency maneuvers. The cylinders are arranged in “front locking” and “rear locking” groups, providing redundant locking protection. Featuring a standardized bore series (40/63/80 mm), stainless steel piston rods, a compact seawater-corrosion-resistant structure, and DNVGL type approval, the series fully meets the stringent requirements of SOLAS and major classification societies for locking devices on Ro-Ro equipment.
  • Push Cylinder
This push cylinder series is the core actuator for the ramp and gangway systems of roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ships. It smoothly extends and retracts stern, side, and internal deck ramps, enabling efficient vehicle and cargo transfer between ship and shore, and between decks. Designed with a compact high-strength structure, low-friction sealing, and an integrated counterbalance valve, it provides stable, reliable, and lockable push/pull force under the harsh marine conditions of frequent cycling, wave impact, and salt spray. Optional displacement sensors or proximity switches enable real-time ramp position monitoring and safety interlock, meeting IMO and classification society requirements for Ro-Ro equipment.
  • Main Boom Luffing Cylinder
This main boom luffing cylinder series is the primary actuator of the luffing system on offshore cranes. Mounted between the slewing platform and the main boom, it hydraulically pushes the entire main boom to pivot around its base hinge point through a large angular range, directly determining the crane's maximum working radius, lifting height, and rated lifting capacity. Featuring an ultra-high thrust (up to 8,454 kN) and a medium-to-long stroke (up to 5,700 mm) heavy-duty design, it provides absolutely rigid support and precise position control under extreme offshore conditions of swell, salt spray, humidity, hammer vibration, and green water on deck. Integrated with a counterbalance valve, optional ice scraper, and displacement sensor, it adapts to polar ice zones, deep sea, and coastal environments, meeting classification society regulations and offshore lifting safety requirements.
  • Folding Arm Tilt Cylinder
This folding arm tilt cylinder series is the core actuator for the knuckle boom system of offshore cranes. Mounted between the main boom tip and the folding boom, it hydraulically pushes and pulls the folding boom to pivot around its hinge point, precisely adjusting the hook's working radius and lifting height, or folding the boom against the main boom for stowage during transit. Featuring a bidirectional heavy-duty design with high push force (up to 8,454 kN) and high pull force (up to 3,589 kN) combined with a moderate-to-long stroke, it provides powerful tilting support and precise position control under extreme offshore conditions of swell, salt spray, humidity, and hammer vibration. Integrated with a counterbalance valve, optional ice scraper, and displacement sensor, it adapts to polar ice zones, deep sea, and coastal environments, meeting classification society regulations and offshore lifting safety requirements.
  • A-Frame Crane Luffing Cylinder
This A-Frame crane luffing cylinder series is the core actuator for the auxiliary lifting system on offshore support vessels and platforms. Mounted between the A-frame base and the main boom, it hydraulically pushes and pulls the entire A-frame to pivot smoothly around the hull hinge point, precisely adjusting the working radius and lifting height. Featuring an ultra-long stroke (up to 8,200 mm) and high thrust (up to 3,026 kN) heavy-duty design, it provides powerful luffing support and precise position control under extreme offshore conditions of swell, salt spray, humidity, and hammer vibration. Integrated with a counterbalance valve, optional ice scraper, and displacement sensor, it adapts to polar ice zones, deep sea, and coastal environments, meeting classification society regulations and offshore operational safety requirements.
  • Luffing Cylinder
This ultra-large bore luffing cylinder is the core power and load-bearing element of the pile frame luffing system on offshore pile driving vessels. It smoothly tilts the pile frame — which can be tens of meters long and weigh hundreds of tonnes — around the bow hinge point, precisely setting the pile driving angle. Simultaneously, it withstands the enormous combined external loads from pile driving hammer impact, wind and wave forces, and the frame's own weight. With an extreme heavy-duty design, a maximum bore of up to 1,600 mm, and thrust reaching 50,000 kN, it is among the largest hydraulic cylinders in the world. Available in single-stage plunger or multi-stage telescopic configurations, and equipped with an integrated high-flow safety locking valve package and attached maintenance platforms and ladders, it provides absolute rigid support and precise follow-up control for the pile frame under extreme conditions of deep-sea swell, salt spray, humidity, and hammer vibration — making it an indispensable piece of equipment for large offshore pile foundation construction.
  • Spud Carriage Traveling Cylinder
This traveling cylinder is the main drive element of the stepping system on cutter suction dredgers (CSD). Mounted between the spud carriage frame and the vessel hull, it pushes and pulls the entire vessel to step forward along the spud rail, enabling precise positioning and incremental advance during dredging. In each dredging cycle, when one spud is firmly planted in the seabed, the cylinder extends or retracts to move the vessel around or along that spud, covering the cut area continuously. Featuring a large bore (up to 480 mm) and an ultra-long stroke (up to 9,400 mm), it operates steadily at low speed and high thrust, absorbing the massive axial loads from vessel inertia, current drag, and spud reaction. The cylinder integrates a heavy-duty structure, waterproof sealing, safety lock valves, and intelligent position monitoring, allowing long-term maintenance-free operation in the high-sediment environments of inland, coastal, and offshore waters.
  • Spud Kick Cylinder
This spud kick cylinder (piling cylinder) is the auxiliary pile extraction actuator of the positioning and stepping system on cutter suction dredgers (CSD). Typically installed in pairs on the spud frame or deck foundation, it provides hydraulic thrust to a lever or wedge mechanism at the base of the spud, generating a massive upward force to break the suction between the spud and the seabed, enabling a rapid pull-out. During the stepping cycle, after the main spud cylinder retracts, the kick cylinder delivers the extra push needed to free the spud quickly from the bottom, minimizing stepping auxiliary time. With a high thrust output (up to 3,140 kN) over a short stroke, it produces an enormous moment while operating reliably under high side loads, strong vibration, and heavy sediment. Integrated special anti-corrosion coatings, heavy-duty waterproof seals, and safety valve packages fully suit the harsh conditions of inland, coastal, and offshore waters.
  • Spud Cylinder
This spud cylinder is the core actuator of the positioning and stepping system on cutter suction dredgers (CSD). Vertically mounted within the stern spud frame, it hydraulically lowers the spud (anchor pile) into the seabed to fix the vessel in position, and raises it for recovery. During dredging, one spud is planted in the seabed as a pivot while the other is raised; the vessel then swings around the pivot using side winches to cut material. For advancing, the cylinders lift and lower the spuds alternately in a stepping motion. Featuring an ultra-high push/pull force (up to 7,500 kN push / 5,000 kN pull) and a long stroke (up to 5,200 mm), the cylinder maintains smooth lifting and reliable locking under the huge side loads caused by the weight of the spud, water resistance, and vessel sway. Integrated multi-stage waterproofing, side-load resistant guiding, and safety valve packages ensure maintenance-free operation over the long term in inland, coastal, and offshore environments with high salt spray and sediment.
