This boom cylinder series is engineered for 20 to 80 metric ton medium and large hydraulic excavators. As the core actuator for raising and lowering the boom, it directly determines maximum digging height, reach at dump, and heavy lifting capacity. Featuring a 35 MPa ultra-high pressure design, oversized bore, thick-walled barrel, integrated adjustable cushioning, large-flow dual ports, and smart sensor readiness, it delivers smooth, powerful motion and exceptional durability in the toughest applications such as overburden handling, heavy rock face digging, and deep trench work.

Ultra-High Pressure Heavy-Duty Construction
The barrel uses high-strength quenched and tempered alloy steel, either forged or heavy-wall cold-drawn. All weld zones receive 100% UT and MT inspection, and finite element analysis is used to optimize stress at critical locations such as the barrel-to-end transition and clevis roots, followed by localized reinforcement. The piston rod is precision hard chrome plated (HV900–1100, Ra≤0.1μm). Bench fatigue tests demonstrate over 2 million cycles under extreme pressure fluctuations, ensuring reliability in rock face and heavy excavation tasks.
Ultra-Low Breakaway Friction for Fine Control
A low-friction polyurethane/filled PTFE sealing package combined with special guiding bands keeps breakaway pressure under 0.5 MPa. This eliminates stick-slip, providing smooth and precise boom raise/lower motion, essential for fine grading, pipe-laying, and lifting operations.
High-Flow Dual Ports & Real-Time Monitoring
Large-diameter dual oil ports come standard, accommodating high-flow hydraulic systems to reduce back pressure and energy loss. Built-in pressure test ports allow for the installation of pressure sensors, enabling real-time monitoring of piston-side and rod-side pressures for predictive maintenance.
Adjustable End Cushioning System
An adjustable cushioning valve spool integrated into both ends of the piston allows the operator or technician to fine-tune cushioning intensity. Hydraulic shock at full extension and retraction is smoothly absorbed, reducing structural stress on the frame and swing bearing, lowering noise, and maintaining full digging force and cycle speed.
Comprehensive Anti-Corrosion Protection
Multiple piston rod surface treatments—hard chrome, Ni/Cr alloy plating, laser cladding, ceramic thermal spray, QPQ nitriding, zinc-nickel plating—combined with high-grade corrosion-resistant painting, protect against acidic mine water, coastal salt spray, and tunnel slurry.
Reinforced Critical Zones
FEA-driven stress optimization at clevis welds, port reinforcement pads, and threaded connections, followed by ultrasonic peening or shot peening, significantly improves weld fatigue strength and eliminates leak or fracture risks at failure-prone points.
Smart Sensing Upgrade
An integrated magnetostrictive linear displacement sensor (analog/digital/PWM output) can be built in for closed-loop boom height control with ±0.2mm accuracy, supporting semi-autonomous digging, slope assist, and remote telematics.
Safety Integration & Serviceability
Can be equipped with counterbalance valves, dual pilot-operated check valves, and orifice throttles—holding the boom safely in place even if a hose bursts. Standard self-lubricating composite bushings eliminate grease fittings; spherical bearings are optional. Pre-plumbed pipe and hose assemblies reduce OEM installation time.
